Save money by troubleshooting the air-conditioning system yourself: If your system will not start:
If your system is freezing up (refrigeration line is forming ice):
- Check your filter. Make sure it is clean and not restricting the air
flow.

Make sure that your furnace fan or your air handler fan (attic based air
conditioning) is working.
Ozone friendly tip:
- If the filter is clean and the unit continues to freeze, there may be a leak in the refrigeration line.
- Ask your service man to find and repair the leak before adding more refrigerant.
